Experts expect boomers in the UAE tourism sector in the near future

According to a new analytical study published by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the tourism sector in Dubai and the UAE will gain momentum in the long run, as evidenced by the increase in the number of visitors to the country and hotel occupancy rates. In addition, spending on the tourism sector in the UAE will also gradually increase.

Hotel rooms in the UAE will be filled more and more as the tourist flow increases. One of the most important aspects for UAE tourism are travelers coming from countries of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East. A significant "share" of tourists is also expected from China, India, Africa and, even, Europe.

According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, the growth of world tourism at the end of 2010 amounted to 2% instead of the previously projected 0.5%, which is mainly due to the creation of more than 946 thousand new jobs in this industry on a global scale. Accordingly, according to experts' expectations, the growth rate in 2011 will reach 2.7%.
