In 2011, about 2 million tourists will visit Abu Dhabi

The number of tourists visiting the UAE's capital, Abu Dhabi, which owns 7% of the world's oil reserves, will increase by 15% in 2011, according to the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA). Next year, according to ADTA estimates, at least 1.9 million tourists will visit the UAE capital. The contribution of the tourism industry to the gross domestic product of the emirate will be at least 11% in 2011.

Recall that it was in Abu Dhabi on November 14, 2010 that the Grand Prix of the Formula 1 race was held, and the world's largest indoor theme park Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was also opened.
