Dubai Airport Free Economic Zone and Civil Defense Department Develop Mutual Cooperation

The leadership of the free economic zone of the Dubai Airport and the Department of Civil Defense of Dubai (UAE) signed two partnership agreements last Saturday on fire prevention and training personnel in security procedures through training programs “Fire Danger and Protective Measures Against Them”. According to Dr. Mohammed Al-Zaruni, Director General of the Free Economic Zone of Dubai Airport, its management is committed to creating a safe working environment for international companies and their employees working in the Free Economic Zone. In this regard, intensive work is necessary together with the Department of Civil Defense and other interested institutions and organizations in the field of security and human protection. This SEZ is adjacent directly to Dubai International Airport, which requires more precautions to avoid any security and security incidents.

Al-Zaruni confirmed that the SEZ is fully prepared to start applying the latest systems and procedures recommended by the Department of Civil Defense.

"The signing of these agreements with various leading institutions will allow the Department to conduct its work more efficiently," said Major General Rashid Thani Al-Matrushi, Director General of the Department of Civil Defense of Dubai. “We are interested in providing protection for various economic institutions, especially those that make a valuable contribution to the country's economy and the development of society. With the help of leading international and specialized British companies, the Department has acquired the latest alarm devices, due to which the number of incidents and accidents has decreased 2009 by 40% compared to 2008. " Recall that the FEZ of Dubai Airport is one of the largest investment and economic projects of the emirate’s authorities. Currently, about 12 thousand people work on its territory.
