The UAE Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a final warning to car owners whose windows are tinted more than the established norm or have mirror tint. The issuance of permits for tinting glass of more than 30% will be completely stopped.
The UAE Ministry of Internal Affairs has warned motorists that in the near future the police will begin to conduct raids and fine violators in the prescribed manner. The fine for this violation is 200 dirhams. At the moment, tinting glass for more than 30% is possible with the permission of the police. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has already issued a circular prohibiting the issuance of such permits. It will come into force in August this year. Motorists who previously received this permission will be required to change the tint to a new one, not exceeding 30%.
Tighter sanctions are linked to the police’s intention to improve road safety.
