Chopard Cascade - the birth of a new star

Chopard is an international jewelery house known for its tradition of excellence and a long history of passion and precision. Chopard company was created in 1860 by Louis-Ullis Chopard, who managed to gain a solid reputation in watchmaking. In 1963, Karl Scheufele bought the Chopard brand, vowing to maintain the quality and traditions of the eminent company.

Today, Chopard is not only one of the most advanced manufacturers of watches and jewelry, but also the creator of luxurious perfumes. It was about them, and especially about the latest novelty - Chopard Cascade - that we were told by Stephanie Fitzgerald, vice president of Chopard Fragrances, Carolina Grousey-Scheufele, co-president of Chopard, as well as their creators - perfumers Beatrice Pique and Juliette Karajuzoglu.

How was the concept of new Chopard perfumes created?

Stephanie Fitzgerald: In fact, the Chopard Fragrance portfolio was based on two main flavors - Wish and Happy Spirit. But we wanted to bring it even closer to our luxurious jewelry collections and emphasize in our new spirits the main values of Chopard House - glamor, luxury and status, to attract a different target audience of buyers.

Why was the name Cascade chosen for the new fragrance? What should it symbolize?

Stephanie Fitzgerald: Cascade Chopard is a perfume that complements the Chopard Haute Joaillerie luxury jewelry line and should be associated with glamorous and prestigious events featuring international celebrities such as international film festivals.

Carolina Grouse-Scheufele: When I create jewelry, I always present them on the red carpet. Therefore, creating Cascade, I did not doubt for a minute that these perfumes are for the "red carpet". They are ideally suited to cascades of diamonds and precious stones, which celebrities are strewn with during such ceremonies.

For which woman was Cascade created?

Stephanie Fitzgerald: These perfumes should envelop a woman delightful, glamorous and extravagant. Woman Chopard. The ideal description of the Cascade fragrance itself is perhaps four words: glamor, radiance, extravagance and grace.

Carolina Grouse-Scheufele: Chopard House has never followed fashion trends. We create them ourselves. Therefore, the connection between our jewelry and perfume for me, for example, is obvious - both that, and another - this is the peak of grace and glamor.

You always mention the word "glamor." What does it mean for you personally?

Carolina Grousey-Scheufele: For me, glamor is 1950s Hollywood stars .... Rita Hayworth, Eva Gardner were infinitely beautiful women. Their beauty was classic and at the same time sexy. Glamor is all that stands above the ordinary.

What is a Cascade fragrance?

Stephanie Fitzgerald: We strove to create a unique composition. The top notes of Cascade conceal extracts of grapefruit and juicy tangerine flowers, complemented by pink pepper. In the heart are the warm colors of the Belle de Nuit night orchid, Evening Maiden orchid and heliotrope. It is based on luxurious varieties of noble wood, sexy ambergris and a light musk aura.

Beatrice Piquet: For me, Cascade is the perfect perfume, which is also surprisingly modern. Moreover, today they push me to create more and more new aromas, They give me inspiration.

Juliet Carajuzoglu: It seems to me that the process of creating spirits is some kind of collision of all those things and thoughts that move me. I like short formulas that remain clear and clean. It is from them that unique and even eternal flavors are born. Cascade, in this sense, is just such a fragrance. And my favorite ingredients in it are notes of noble varieties of wood and spices, they add sensuality and allow perfumes to fully open.

Creating Cascade, what did you want to achieve?

Beatrice Piquet: Juliet and I strove to create a modern composition that would bring back the feeling of classic perfumes. These luxurious perfumes sound great, thanks to the beauty of their main components and the train that remains of them. We wanted these Chopard perfumes to rule the red carpet. Perhaps we have succeeded in our pursuit.

Tell me, are there olfactory competitors in Chopard Cascade?

Beatrice Piquet: I would like to think not!

Could you compare Chopard Cascade with a piece of music, for example?

Beatrice Piquet: Of course, this is an opera!

And if with a city or a country?

Beatrice Piquet: Then, like Cannes and the "red carpet" of the international film festival.

With fashionable clothes?

Beatrice Piquet: Only a luxurious evening dress!

With the subject?

Beatrice Piquet: With Chopard jewelry, or better with a whole cascade ...
