The operator of the application for ordering a taxi Careem in Dubai will deliver goods of its own fashion brand within an hour.
Dubai-based Careem, which runs the taxi app, has launched Dukkan Careem, a fashion brand that uses local materials and culture-inspired designs.
Dukkan products will be sold online in the UAE, and ordered items will be delivered within an hour using Careem.
The brand officially starts with a winter collection at the Sole DXB creative festival, which will be held from December 7 to 9.
"We are extremely proud of the launch of Dukkan Careem and are excited to transfer the Careem brand that people know and love to tangible products and goods," said Mudassir Sheikh, co-founder and CEO.
According to Sheikh, within the framework of this initiative, close cooperation with local manufacturers will be established.
The new Dukkan collection will consist of T-shirts, sweaters, sweatpants and dresses. Later, children's t-shirts will be added.
The summer collection, Yalla Collection, is already available on the Internet.
Dukkan Careem will also prepare temporary stores at events and festivals and will soon be available in other markets where Careem operates.
