The discount on the payment of fines in the emirate of Sharjah is extended until the end of February

The discount on travel fines in the Emirate of Sharjah will be valid until the end of February 2018.

The discount on travel fines announced in October by the police of the Emirate of Sharjah, UAE, will be valid until February 28, 2018.

Major Abdul Rahman Hater, director of the Sharjah Police Media and Information Department, urged vehicle owners and motorists to pay fines through the Department of Home Affairs app or at any police station, Tasjeel, and the Police Service Center, Sahara Mall.

Earlier in December, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE, ordered the Ministry of the Interior to coordinate work with the country's transport and licensing departments to reduce the payment of all road fines by 50 percent. The initiative was in line with the spirit of UAE National Day and the Year of Charity.

The discount applies to all fines issued before December 2, 2017 throughout the country.
