Dubai intends to declare some of the beaches in the emirate family to provide a safe environment for women and children.
Some beaches in Dubai will soon have new plates that allow entry only for families. Single men will not be able to visit such zones. Also, on such beaches, certain rules will be followed regarding the appearance of visitors.
Over the past year, hundreds of cases of misconduct were recorded on the beaches of Dubai - 289 men were detained for photographing women in swimsuits, another 743 cases prevented other people from visiting the beach.
Last year, family-only signs appeared near the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club, but were later removed.
