Camels and horses on motorways banned in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Police issued a leaflet on the design of vehicles and the general rules of conduct on the road during the celebration of National Day of the UAE.

Dubai, UAE. Abu Dhabi police issued a reminder for motorists on the design of vehicles for National Day of the United Arab Emirates. According to the statement, patriotic motorists will be able to issue cars using national symbols only from November 25 to December 6. For violation of the deadlines will be fined.

The police said that they will prepare a plan for the removal of vehicles to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians. In total, the memo contains 10 basic rules of behavior for motorists during the celebration of the 47th anniversary of the UAE unification:

  • Holiday flags and garlands should not obscure;
  • It is forbidden to install flagpoles on cars;
  • It is forbidden to hide license plates;
  • It is forbidden to repaint the car in a different color;
  • Do not use liquid confetti;
  • Do not ride on the roof of a car or overload it with passengers;
  • It is forbidden to lean out of windows and leave cars unattended;
  • It is strictly forbidden to use camels and horses on city roads;
  • It is forbidden to throw garbage out of windows and leave marks on the roadway;
  • It is forbidden to drive in designated lanes for taxis and buses or to create obstacles to other road users.
