Students in the UAE will soon be able to switch to online education

Dubai is preparing to launch a pilot online distance learning program for students.

The UAE's Department of Knowledge and Human Development (KHDA) issued its first online education license to Dwight Global Online School. This initiative is part of the Rahhal project, which falls under the Dubai 10X program. This means that in the UAE it will soon be possible to transfer the child to online education, which, according to preliminary data, will cost significantly less than regular education.

Hind Al Mualla, head of creativity, happiness and innovation at KHDA, said the initiative will be implemented in a test format for nine months. More detailed information about the project will be disclosed by KHDA during the test period.

Dwight Global Online School in Dubai offers online tuition for grades 7-12. The program includes a standard set of items. However, the principle of teaching is different from the usual at school. The model combines various components - real-time lessons, videos, virtual classes, training in pre-recorded lectures, seminars and so on. Seminars are held two to three times a week, and not every day, as in a regular school. Each seminar is recorded and can be viewed later.
