Butterflies and Fairies Presents Van Cleef & Arpels at Geneva Watch Exhibition

At the International Watchmaking Watchmaking Salon (SIHH) in Geneva, Van Cleef & Arpels offers a new way to wear watches, filled with fabulous beauty, harmony, butterflies and fairies, with its Reflecting the Enchanting Nature ™ collection.

In a whole series of new details, these iconic images appear in a three-dimensional form, in movement, or in the center of whole paintings, creating a sense of miracle. Technical innovation and virtuosity are combined in every creation. The resulting masterpieces become a beating heart in the unique rhythm of Poetry of Time ™.

At SIHH 2017, the collection is presented by such watch models as Lady Arpels ™ Papillon Automate with a particularly complex movement and contrasting with this light butterfly flutter on the dial; Fée rose de nuit, a kind of ode to nature and femininity, depicting a fairy made of white gold and diamonds and a bud behind the back of the case; Fée sakura, first shown at the opening of the Ginza store, inspired by cherry blossoms; Automate Fée Ondine, a very sophisticated table clock mechanism that combines the traditions of jewelry and watchmaking.

Speaking about the intersection of watchmaking and jewelry, it should be added that Van Cleef & Arpels at SIHH 2017 continues to expand its creative universe with precious products that also communicate time. Secret watches, a favorite tradition that Maison has honored since the 1930s, are real hidden treasures. They reflect the elegance of jewelry and the precision of exquisite watches. A vivid embodiment of this concept are such models as Heure marine - a watch hidden in a precious bracelet; Cerf-volant necklace; Ruban secret diamonds (and sapphires) watches, for which white and pink gold, diamonds and sapphires were used; Bouton d'or, launched in 2016, but inspired by the motifs of the collection of the late 30s; Ruby (and emerald) cadenas watch, dazzling models lurking in themselves emeralds and rubies.
