On February 2, a gala concert of the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus will be held with the emirate composers Hamad Altai and Ibrahim Al Juneybi within the framework of the first Days of Belarusian Culture in the UAE.
The concert will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development and the Dubai Concert Committee as part of the World Classical Music Series. The program will feature classical masterpieces and works by young emirate composers.
An orchestra of 20 musicians will perform under the direction of conductor Evgeny Bushkov. During his studies at the Moscow Conservatory, Yevgeny Bushkov became a laureate of the largest international competitions: named after G. Venyavsky in Poznan (1986, 1st prize), named after Queen Elizabeth in Brussels (1989, 3rd prize), named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow (1990, 2nd Prize), The First Worldwide Competition named after G. Schering in Monte Carlo (1992, 1st Prize).
Since 1999, Evgeny Bushkov has devoted himself entirely to conducting. The State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, headed by him since 2009, has traveled with concerts to Italy, Norway, Russia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Azerbaijan. In 2015, the debut tour of the orchestra in Austria and Turkey was a great success. At the end of April 2016, the GKO RB became the first philharmonic ensemble of Belarus, which went on tour in the USA.
