Middle Eastern designers have a passion not only for noble fabrics, finest lace and sophisticated embroidery. Gemstones are their second weakness. And the stars, by the way, too. The third-generation Lebanese-French jeweler Selim Muzannar knows this firsthand. In his jewelry on the Golden Globe appeared the American actress Zazi Bitts. And Emma Stone, collecting awards for the currently popular musical film, chose Istambul's Selim Mouzannar earrings and rings for his premiere at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. In the brand’s bracelet, she presented the band Passengers and Jennifer Lawrence in Seoul at the end of 2016.

Another Lebanese, Eli Saab, has long been the king of the red carpet, who shares this title with Zuhair Murad. It was this couple who put the Lebanese haute couture on the world map of fashion. Meryl Streep and Janelle Monet at the Oscars recorded the same thing this year at their own expense. By the way, the Stripe outfit became the most talked about at the ceremony. And the matter was not in himself - the dark azure set from the dress and trousers was wonderful. The interest was due to the scandal that broke out a few days before the event: Karl Lagerfeld announced that the actress at the last moment refused the couture dress Chanel sewn specially for her, accepting the offer of another fashion designer who promised her a round sum. Denials, comments of the parties rained down, and the audience froze in anticipation. Meryl's choice became known only on the way to the Dolby Theater.

Another Lebanese "heavyweight" in the world of haute couture. He has been on the catwalks of Paris since 2002, although the House itself was founded in 1985. But the hearts of women won his ensembles from the first days. It makes no sense to list status clients - everyone we see in photo reports and on TV knows, appreciates, and at least once, but chose the style and elegance offered by Georges. Saudi Arabian designer Mohammed Ashi founded his couture house in Beirut in 2007. It is noteworthy that, as a representative of the millennials generation, he began to promote the name Ashi Studio and sell the first line of outfits through social networks. Over 10 years, Ashi Studio has grown in reality to an international fashion house, whose products are sold in boutiques in European countries and the United States. The young singer and actress Madison Beer came in the brand’s dress for amfAR dinner, and only three days later her more experienced colleague Janel Monet made a similar choice at the NAACP Image Awards ceremony. However, skirts and bustiers are not only a glamorous message. At an Oscar ceremony, American director and screenwriter Ava Duvernay used Ashi Studio's chic dusty blue dress to clearly demonstrate her civic stance against Trump's anti-Muslim policies. REEM ACRA
Designer Rome Acre has long been living and working in New York. But she gained fame in the city of the Big Apple thanks to her Lebanese origin, so distinctly noticeable in her creative style. Expensive fabrics, luxurious embroideries and inlays, perfectly fitting styles were first appreciated by the bride (Rome began with wedding dresses), and later - beautiful women lit by the spotlights of evening events. Her luxurious salon in Manhattan is, of course, a frequent destination for the rich and famous. Many visitors, the designer herself admits, hail from the Middle East. The year has just begun, but Reem Acra is rejoicing: two appearances on the Golden Globe (Emily Ratakovsky and Kristen Wiig), Jennifer Lopez at the People's Choice Awards and world views at a gala dinner in honor of Trump's inauguration, chained to US First Lady Melania Trump in dress brand.
