DUBAI RESIDENTS: SALIK SYSTEM SHOULD BE FREE AFTER 22.00 DAILY

Many residents of Dubai turned to the electronic council of the Emirate Roads and Transport Committee with a request to stop charging for fares under Salik after 22.00 daily. The authorities promised to take into account the wishes of users. Currently, travel under the Salik framework is free on Fridays (from 22.00 to 09.00) and on Saturdays (from 22.00 to 06.00).
Dubai residents hope that the time will be extended, especially during hours when roads are free to travel. Today, as you know, in Dubai there are six frames that are installed on toll sections of roads: on the Al Gharhud and Al Maktoum bridges, in the Al Safa, Al Mamzar areas and at the entrance to the tunnel towards the airport. For each ride under them, a charge of four dirhams (US $ 1.1) is charged.
