Emma, have you always wanted to be an actress?
When I was very young, I never dreamed of becoming an actress, but I always liked to play. At the age of five, I read poetry, and my audience was a family. I was also always a terrible debater and went to a theater studio. I think yes, you can say that I went to the career of an actress. Since my first shootings took place at the age of nine. I didn’t understand then that I probably should be afraid of the camera, so I behaved naturally. When a person is young, he is not particularly worried about trifles.
Glory came to you very early. How has your life changed since the first Harry Potter series?
I didn’t remember that period very well, it seems to me that I continued to study and live as usual. Hermione is a real heroine. She has a strong character and she is a wonderful person. I am proud to have played this role, with which my further acting career began. I had a unique opportunity to work with a huge number of talented people, and shooting in this film has become a real school of excellence. I'm really lucky. Now we are friends with the guys who starred in this picture. I consider Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint my brothers, and the film crew as my second family.
How do you manage to maintain a balance between professional employment and personal life, because you are only 20 years old, and your work day is scheduled in minutes?
The main part of my schedule is painted by other people, and of course they don’t share it - this is the time for work, and this is for Emma. I have to remember all the time what needs to be done on this or that day. I am happy when I get to the end of the urgent matters list, because it is very important to bring everything to the point.
What prompted you to make a decision about working with the cosmetic brand Lancome? Did you immediately agree to become his “face”?
I was very flattered when I was offered to become the new “face” of this famous brand, because I am much younger and not as popular as those really beautiful women with whom Lancome is traditionally associated. This is Julia Roberts, and Kate Winslet, and Penelope Cruz. I simply idolize them and equal their beauty and talent. They have so much chic and integrity! Plus, they are very successful in the profession. Therefore, for me to become part of such a "family" has become a great privilege. I think Lancome is a classic and style, history and purity.
Why do you think Lancome turned to you?
It’s hard to say ... I’m five to ten years younger than most of the rest of the “faces” of the brand, so it seems to me that the brand wanted to attract someone more youthful. It seems that Lancome is set up for a long-term relationship with the people with whom he works, and if I get down to business, I try to fulfill it 100%. I am a very loyal person, so I try to take on projects that I really like. Today I think and feel in the spirit of Lancome, and we can trust each other.
Being the “face” of the newcomer from Lancome - the women's perfume Tresor Midnight Rose, what do you think of this fragrance?
Perfumes Tresor Midnight Rose - very sweet, warm and playful. When I put them on my wrist, as they usually do, I realized that I like to sniff them all the time. There is some secret of attraction in this fragrance.
Perfume is composed of floral, fruit and woody notes. What is your smell associated with?
In the summer, my father’s house in London always has jasmine on the balcony. This jasmine fragrance, clearly felt in new perfumes, always reminds me of summer evenings in the garden. I like him so much. In addition, roses are my favorite flowers. In the aroma of perfume, they appear clean and fresh notes. Shades of red fruits make me think of something tasty and sweet, and wood tones at the base turn perfumes into a warm enveloping cloud.
Can you relate to midnight romance?
