An artist in a wheelchair painted the ruler of Dubai for 500 hours, holding a brush with his teeth

A man chained to a wheelchair spent 500 hours expressing his gratitude to the ruler of Dubai by painting his portrait with a brush in his mouth.

Indian artist Jessfer Keralite painted a large, realistic portrait of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai, with his son, Sheikh Hamdan bin Muhammad Al Maktoum, controlling the brush with his mouth.

From childhood, Jessfer lives with muscle atrophy, which limits his ability. Over the past few years, he has been in a wheelchair and has difficulty moving his hands.

Despite the fact that he never visited the UAE, the 31-year-old artist is grateful to Sheikh Mohammed for his support of people with disabilities. A huge portrait is a tribute to the ruler of Dubai for the fact that in April he announced a new status of disabled people: "decisive people." Thus, Sheikh Mohammed inspired Jessfer.

The artist spent the last four months working on a portrait of Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan, the crown prince of Dubai, who supported the Paralympic people. Jessfer took more than 500 hours to complete the plan, as well as a lot of “blood, sweat and tears.” According to the artist, sometimes he worked on the painting for two to three hours a day, and on other days he devoted it all day or all night.
