Ferragamo family opens its first Tuscan restaurant outside of Italy in Dubai

The Il Borro Tuscan Estate, owned by the Ferragamo family, opens a new chapter in its more than 1000-year history with the launch of the real Tuscan restaurant Il Borro Tuscan Bistro Dubai for the first time outside Italy, in the prestigious Dubai resort Jumeirah Al Naseem, Madinat Jumeirah.

At Il Borro Tuscan Bistro Dubai, the brand's impressive history and innate hospitality are used to take a new, dynamic approach to the Middle Eastern audience.

The restaurant officially opened its doors on January 12, 2017 with a top-level reception, as befits the Ferragamo family.

The concept of the establishment in Dubai draws on the Il Borro heritage in Tuscany, a beautiful estate stretching over 700 hectares in the image of a medieval village and the world famous Tuscan Bistro with products lovingly delivered to the table directly “from the ground”, including organic wines, olive oils and honey .

The location in Dubai for Il Borro was the seafront at Turtle Lagoon in the resort. This allows guests to plunge into the incredible quality, rich history and vast variety of Tuscan food, drawing inspiration from a number of intricately interwoven culinary traditions, and demonstrates the innate hospitality and passion of the Italian spirit.

Food plays a central role in the history of Il Borro, and chef Andrea Campani is responsible for this trend in the new establishment. His dishes are a modern interpretation of Tuscan cuisine, where the use of local ingredients cleverly finds a combination with established forms, and innovation meets tradition.

The most important guests of the gourmet menu will be Pappa al pomodoro, Bresaola di Chianina, Piciall'aglione and Bistecca alla fiorentina.

Visitors entering the main zone of the restaurant will be greeted by a fresh counter, which is designed to awaken the necessary feelings with a view of fresh fish, meat and an assortment of fine cheeses. Guests will be literally spoiled for choice of various cold appetizers - from the popular Burrata to freshly made to order at the tartare counter.

In the central part of the bar, a wide selection of signature cocktails is offered, such as Tuscan Soul, Evobio, Bianco Di Carrara and, of course, Negroni, which you will enjoy overlooking the “tortoise bay” and the Arabian Sea.

For festivities, a separate private hall is assigned, which is equipped with a special area for preparing custom-made food served immediately to the table. Guests can choose a personalized soundtrack for dinner.

On the occasion of the opening, Salvatore Ferragamo said: “The Ferragamo family and I are pleased to bring part of Il BorroTuscan estate to the court of the discerning public in the Middle East. We look forward to sharing with the UAE the taste of genuine Tuscany, organic and grown in accordance with the standards of sustainability and ethics of products, as well as the commitment to manual labor that underlies everything we do - from our menu to hearty Italian hospitality. ”
